Systemic pesticides will be applied to target trees and shrubs known to be affected by seasonal bagworm infestations. Preventative applications will typically be administered in March, just before bagworm larvae hatch. This will reliably and effectively kill this pest with its first meal rather than waiting on maturation and potential landscape damage before treatment.

A follow-up contact kill treatment may be necessary depending on the severity of the infestation and seasonal weather conditions.

After these treatments, the worms inside the bags will be killed, but the bags will remain in place.
